NewThe permit bot for contractors

One message. Your permit is on its way to the city.

Send the job to the bot on WhatsApp, press "Get permit" in PermitBot, or connect your own system. ThePermitBot fills in the city's application, attaches the documents, submits it and follows up, while you get back to the jobs.

Sound familiar?

How many hours a week go to city websites?

A username and password for every city. A different form for every city. A different document list for every kind of job. And at the end, days of waiting just to find out if it went through.

SarahI used to lose whole mornings on city websites.

Typing the same job for the tenth time

Address, APN, valuation, license number, homeowner. It's all in the project already, and someone still types it into the city's form. Again.

One missing document, and it's stuck

Every city wants a different set of papers. Forget the owner authorization and the application just sits there. So does your crew.

Chasing a status instead of jobs

Logging in again and again to see if something moved, then calling the office and the field to tell them.

How it works

One message from you. The rest is on the bot.

TonyThe permit's in the project before I get to the job.
01

Send the job

On WhatsApp, with the "Get permit" button in PermitBot, or from your own system through the API. The address and the work are enough to start.

02

Check it and approve

The bot fills in the city's application and attaches what that city asks for. You see exactly what will be sent, and approve it with one click.

03

The bot submits and follows up

It submits on the city's website and keeps checking. The confirmation, a correction request and the issued permit come back to you: on WhatsApp, in the project or in your system.

Meet the bot

Six arms. Zero coffee breaks.

Everything someone in your office does on the city's website today, done by a bot that doesn't get tired, doesn't forget a document and doesn't need a reminder.

  • Fills in the application

Every field on the city's form, from the project's details.

  • Attaches the documents

Contract, plans, owner authorization and the city's own forms.

  • Checks before you approve

A missing field or a missing file is flagged before anything goes out.

  • Submits on the city website

Once you approve, it submits and saves the confirmation number.

  • Follows up

Keeps checking the status, and flags a correction request as soon as it sees one.

  • Brings the permit home

The issued permit is saved to the project, where the office and the crew open it.

Built into PermitBot

One button on every project

Questions

Good to know

Which cities does it work in?

We start with California cities that take permit applications online, and add cities one by one. Tell us where you work and we'll tell you which of your cities are ready and which are next.

Do I need PermitBot?

No. You can send jobs to the bot on WhatsApp, or connect your own CRM through the API. With PermitBot it's one button, because the details are already there.

Who checks the application before it's sent?

You do. The bot shows you the filled application and the attached files, on WhatsApp, in PermitBot or in your system, and submits only after you approve.

Does the bot guarantee the permit will be approved?

No, and nobody honest can. Approval is the city's decision. What the bot does is make sure the application arrives complete, with every document, and that you know as soon as the city asks for a correction.

What does it cost?

The bot is priced per permit. City fees are paid to the city, as they are today. Pilot companies get special pricing.

Fewer hours on city websites. More jobs built.
